Trevor Masinelli Creative Director & Owner
Masinelli Design Studio
I stepped into the graphic design and printing industry nearly 20 years ago,
with my first job being a darkroom assistant at a small Mom-n-Pop print shop
in Denver. Throughout those years, I worked my way up through the ranks
at various companies, being given the opportunity to learn from some of the
best in the industry.
Those years of experience have afforded me a wide and varied hands-on knowledge
of the design, print, advertising and marketing facets of the industry.
This “from-the-bottom-up” career experience has given me an
expansive insight to the ever-changing design and print industry - insight and
experience that I offer the customers of Masinelli Design Studio, to give them
the best possible product at the best possible price.
Give Masinelli Design Studio a try - we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
About Masinelli Design Studio
We strongly believe in one-to-one personal relationships with our clients,
and will work to help you with all aspects of your projects. We also utilize
several highly-trained resources in different fields, to provide seamless
solutions to technical hurdles, ensuring the best possible results.
We believe in working with businesses and individuals. We feel that
no job is “too small” or “beneath” us, like you
might find with larger design firms. We revel in the creative process that
takes a project from the drawing board to being a household name.
Many times we have been asked; what is it that sets you apart from other
design firms? Simply put, it's experience.
Nearly anyone with a computer and $1,000 worth of software can create a
pretty picture. However, what will the design look like when it's
printed, or when your Web site goes live? What about when you need to
put the design on a piece of clothing? If it's a Web-based design,
will all your visitors be able to use it, or will the site exclude
anyone who doesn't have the same browser that the designer used,
or hasn't downloaded the latest “fad” plug-in?
If it's a print-based design, will the paper stock be the correct
choice for the piece's actual use? Will the chosen colors work
correctly and efficiently on press, or will there be press check delays,
color gamut issues, layout re-works to fix trapping issues and costly
press re-runs? If it's a presentation or kiosk, will the interface
and information be easy to understand and concise? Will the program
achieve your needs, or will you lose your audience due to
“over-design” issues?
All too often in the industry, design customers receive a finished product
that is, at best, an art gallery piece for the designer – sadly,
the customer's objective and the project's goal are never reached,
wasting resources and budget. We prefer function over empty flash, and we focus
on this philosophy. We would rather satisfy your needs by creating a
productive, professional piece of work - be it a logo, brochure, Web site,
photograph, marketing campaign, team apparel, e-commerce solution, social media
campaign or a database integration. Any awards or accolades we receive for
the design is merely icing on the cake.
